Over 25 years ago when I built this part of the building there had only been a tree. I had left to do a show intending to come back and work more on this side but a new building had sprung up and I could not get past a pine tree. And a piece of hardware cloth had a vine climbing it that George decided was good. So it was left to grow. within a couple of years the tree died but there was no way to remove the stump so it rotted in place covered by a vine that for the last 10 years I have had to trim aggressively to keep it from ripping out the windows and the fascia.
I had been in the process of the annual trimming when I cut the wrong branch and the entire two story plant tumbled into the fairway. There was no alternative but to render it and call the site crew to remove it. Since they brought a backhoe to pick up the mess they kindly consented to clear the final remains of both tree and vine.
